Acceptable Use Policy

Who this applies to

Everyone who uses Digi Dukaan: buyers, shop owners and their staff. It is part of the Terms of Use.

Content you must not post

In a review, a photo, a shop page, a product listing, a message to a shop or anything else you put in the app, do not post anything that:

• belongs to someone else and you have no right to use — their photos, text, brand name or logo;
• is obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit, or harmful to children;
• invades someone's privacy, including their phone number, address, identity documents or private photos;
• is insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, religion, caste, race or ethnicity, or encourages hatred or violence;
• is defamatory, or that you know to be false or misleading;
• pretends to be another person, shop or brand;
• promotes gambling, money laundering or anything else against the law in India;
• threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with other countries, or public order, or encourages an offence;
• contains a virus or any code meant to damage or interfere with a device or a service.

Things you must not sell

Shop owners must not list anything that may not lawfully be sold to the public, or that needs a licence they do not hold. That includes weapons, narcotics, prescription medicines without a drug licence, tobacco or alcohol where the law forbids their sale online, counterfeit or stolen goods, wildlife products, and goods that are recalled, expired or unsafe.

Things you must not do

• Place orders you do not mean to receive, or accept orders you do not mean to fulfil.
• Write a review of a purchase you did not make, review your own shop, or offer or take anything in exchange for a review.
• Use another person's account, or try to see data that is not yours.
• Collect buyers' or shops' details from the app for any purpose other than the order they belong to.
• Send advertising or bulk messages through the app.
• Probe, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or get around its limits.

What happens if you do

We may hide or remove the content, cancel the order, limit what the account can do, or suspend or close the account or shop. We tell you what we did and why, unless the law prevents it, and you can appeal a decision about your content from the app. We may report unlawful activity to the authorities and keep the related records as the law requires.
