Legal / Seller Terms
Seller Terms
- Version 2026-09-29
- Effective from 29 September 2026
- Accepted by every seller
Draft pending legal review. Where this page shows “not yet provided”, the operator has not published that detail yet.
Key points
- You sell in your own name: the goods, prices, bills and invoices are yours (section 2).
- Our team reviews your shop before buyers can see it, and may ask for more or refuse (section 3).
- Show every detail the law requires for your goods, and never charge more than the MRP (section 4).
- Use buyers' details only to fulfil their orders (section 4).
- Pro plan payments are not refundable, except a payment taken twice or without a plan being activated (section 6).
A summary only — the full terms below apply.
1. Who these terms are for
These terms apply when you open a shop on Digi Dukaan. They add to the Terms of Use; where the two differ about selling, these apply. Digi Dukaan is operated by Digi-Dukaan, a private limited company, Hustlehub, 3rd Floor, 19th Main Road, HSR Layout, Bangalore, Karnataka 560068, India.
2. You are the seller
You sell to buyers in your own name. The contract of sale, the goods, their quality, their price and the invoice are yours. We provide the app, show your shop to nearby buyers and pass orders to you. We are not a party to the sale and we do not take a commission on a buyer's order.
3. Opening a shop
- You must be 18 or older and entitled to run the business you list.
- You give us your name, mobile number, shop details and one identity document (PAN, or Aadhaar if you choose). We use them only to verify that the shop is real. How we store them is in the Privacy Notice.
- Some kinds of shop need a licence — for example a food business needs an FSSAI licence or registration. Where the app asks for one, give the real one and keep it current.
- Our team reviews your shop before buyers can see it, and may ask for more or refuse. A “Verified” badge means we reviewed your details; it is not a guarantee of your goods.
4. What you must do
- List only goods you may lawfully sell, and that you have.
- Give accurate product information, including everything the law requires you to display — for packaged goods that includes the maximum retail price, net quantity, the manufacturer, packer or importer, the country of origin and, where it applies, the best-before or use-by date.
- Never charge more than the maximum retail price.
- Honour the prices, delivery fees, delivery area and return window you publish, and the orders you accept.
- Give the buyer a proper bill, and a GST invoice if you are registered.
- Keep your identity, tax, licence and contact details current.
- Use buyers' names, phone numbers and addresses only to fulfil their orders and keep your own lawful records. Do not sell them, share them or use them to advertise.
- Answer buyers' complaints about your goods, and answer us when we pass one to you.
5. Udhaar (credit you give)
If you switch on udhaar, the credit is yours: you decide who gets it, how much and when it is due, and the buyer owes you, not us. The app keeps the record for both of you. We do not lend, guarantee or collect, and the app adds no interest or fee to udhaar.
6. Plans and payment
- The Free plan costs nothing. Its limits are shown in Billing & Plan.
- Pro plans are billed as shown in the app before you pay, through Razorpay. We do not see or store your card or UPI details.
- A plan you pay for once ends at the end of its period. A recurring plan renews automatically until you turn autopay off in Billing & Plan; you can do that at any time and it takes effect from the next renewal.
- Pro plan payments are not refundable, in whole or in part, including when you turn autopay off, downgrade or close your shop part-way through a period: the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for and then does not renew. This does not apply to a payment taken twice or taken without a plan being activated — tell us and it will be reversed — and it does not limit any right you have under law.
- The invoice for each Pro plan payment is in Billing & Plan.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of your shop name, photos and product information. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and display them in the app while your shop is listed. Use only names, logos and photos you have the right to use. See Reporting content and infringement.
8. Suspension and closure
We may hide a listing, pause or close a shop that breaks these terms, the Acceptable Use Policy or the law, or that puts buyers at risk. We will tell you why and what you can do about it, unless the law prevents it. You can close your shop by deleting your account; open orders must be finished and autopay turned off first.
9. How your shop is shown
How shops and products are ordered in search and lists is described in the Terms of Use, section 5. [NOT YET PROVIDED: operator to confirm whether any placement is paid, and whether Pro shops are treated differently in ranking]
10. Liability, law and disputes
[NOT YET PROVIDED: limitation-of-liability, indemnity, governing-law and dispute-resolution clauses, to be drafted by counsel]
11. Changes and contact
If we change these terms in a way that matters, the app will show you the new version and ask you to accept it. Contact: support@digi-dukaan.com. Complaints: Grievance redressal.
