Draft pending legal review. Where this page shows “not yet provided”, the operator has not published that detail yet.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of the Digi Dukaan app. It is operated by Digi-Dukaan, a private limited company (registration [NOT YET PROVIDED: company or firm registration number], GSTIN [NOT YET PROVIDED: GSTIN of the operating entity]), Hustlehub, 3rd Floor, 19th Main Road, HSR Layout, Bangalore, Karnataka 560068, India. Customer care: support@digi-dukaan.com, +91 6000480890.
By accepting them in the app you agree to them. Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle your personal data. If you sell on Digi Dukaan, the Seller Terms apply to you as well.
2. What Digi Dukaan is
Digi Dukaan is a marketplace. Independent local shops list their own products, set their own prices, delivery fees and return windows, and sell to you directly. We provide the app that connects you. The shop — not Digi Dukaan — is the seller of the goods and is responsible for them, including for any legally required product information, quality, and invoices. The contract of sale is between you and the shop.
Each shop's page shows who the seller is, whether they are GST-registered, where they are located, their rating and how to contact them.
3. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract under Indian law. The app asks you to confirm this.
- Digi Dukaan is offered in India only.
- Keep your password and sign-in codes to yourself. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
- Give accurate details. Shops rely on your address and phone number to deliver.
- You can delete your account at any time from Privacy & Legal → Delete account.
4. Orders, prices and payment
- Before you place an order the app shows each item's price, the delivery fee (or free delivery) and the total you will pay. Prices are set by the shop and include taxes unless the shop's invoice says otherwise. We add no fee of our own to a buyer's order.
- An order is a request to the shop. It becomes binding when the shop accepts it. A shop may decline. The app records your order and shows it, with its number and every change of status, under Orders.
- You pay the shop in cash on delivery or at pickup, or, if the shop offers it to you, on udhaar (credit from the shop). Digi Dukaan does not collect or hold payment for buyer orders, and does not lend money.
- Delivery: see Delivery and pickup.
- Cancellation, returns and refunds: see Cancellations, returns and refunds.
5. How results are ordered
Product search results are ordered by how closely they match what you typed, then by rating (or by price, if you choose to sort by price). Shop lists follow the sort you choose (nearest first by default). Some sections of the home screen are chosen by our team. Badges such as “Verified” mean our team has reviewed the shop's details. [NOT YET PROVIDED: operator to confirm whether any placement is paid, and describe any differentiated treatment of shops (Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020, r. 5(3)(e), 5(4))]
6. Reviews and content you post
- Reviews must be about a real purchase and your own experience.
- What may not be posted is set out in the Acceptable Use Policy.
- We may hold or remove content that breaks these rules and will tell you why; you can appeal from the app.
- You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and display it in the app for as long as it is posted.
- To report content or a shop, use the report option in the app. If someone has used your copyright, trade mark or personal details without permission, see Reporting content and infringement.
7. Things you must not do
Do not misuse the app: no fake orders or reviews, no attempts to access other people's accounts or data, no interfering with the service, and nothing unlawful. The full list is in the Acceptable Use Policy.
8. Our content
The Digi Dukaan name, logo, app and its design belong to us or our licensors. You may use the app for your own shopping or to run your shop; you may not copy, resell or reverse-engineer it. Open-source components keep their own licences.
9. Suspension and closure
We may suspend an account or shop that breaks these terms or the law, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it. You can close your account at any time. Closing it does not cancel an order a shop has already accepted, or a debt you owe a shop.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other law, or our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited. [NOT YET PROVIDED: limitation-of-liability, governing-law and dispute-resolution clauses, to be drafted by counsel]
11. Complaints
Raise a complaint in the app or with the Grievance Officer — see Grievance redressal.
12. Changes and contact
If we change these terms in a way that matters, the app will show you the new version and ask you to accept it. We also remind you of these documents from time to time. Contact: support@digi-dukaan.com.
